Surrey Memorial Hospital NICU Waiting Room

In 2018 I was commissioned by the Surrey Memorial Hospital in BC to create a large custom painting for their family waiting area in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We also chose some of my prints to help finish of the space and make it feel warm and welcoming. I was flattered to have been asked to create this painting because, due to my background working as a Nurse, I know how sterile and cold hospitals can be. I am so pleased to know my art can provide some comfort and distraction for families during a scary and stressful time. I included the Mission statement words of the unit in the roots of the tree which are inclusion, compassion, appreciation, partnership, value, diversity, caring, milestones, fulfillment.
